Meet Dr. Meadow Deason, OTD, OTR/L

Meadow is a Doctor of Occupational Therapy who delivers whole-person care grounded in advanced clinical training and a deep understanding of the nervous system. With a background in neurorehabilitation and mental health, she recognizes the relationship between pelvic floor function, autonomic regulation, and overall well-being. Her approach integrates nervous system regulation strategies, skilled manual therapy, and individualized lifestyle design to address root causes—not just symptoms—supporting sustainable, meaningful outcomes.Meadow earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Huntington University in 2019. Her doctoral capstone focused on non-pharmacological chronic pain management, and she later contributed to the American Occupational Therapy Association’s position paper on occupational therapy’s role in pain management.Inspired in part by her own pelvic health journey, Meadow began specialized training in pelvic health in 2023, bringing both clinical expertise and personal insight to the clients she serves. Her extensive postdoctoral training in pelvic health includes certification as a Functional Pelvic Health Practitioner and specialized training in Trauma-Informed Pelvic Health. She has also completed Level 1 coursework through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, further strengthening her evidence-based, integrative approach to care.Meadow lives in Reno with her husband of over 25 years and their two wonderful children. Outside the clinic, she enjoys serving and worshipping with her faith community and spending as much time as possible outdoors—paddleboarding, skiing, and exploring the mountains and trails around Tahoe, where she truly feels at home.

Certified

Choosing a certified pelvic health practitioner ensures your care is rooted in advanced clinical expertise and evidence-based techniques that go far beyond general wellness advice. While other clinics may offer basic support, a certified specialist has undergone rigorous training to perform the precise internal assessments and targeted interventions necessary for complex dysfunction. This higher standard of credentialing provides patients with a safer, more effective path to recovery, minimizing trial-and-error and prioritizing long-term functional success.

Why OT?

As a Certified Pelvic Health Practitioner with a background in Occupational Therapy, Dr. Deason bridges the gap between clinical rehabilitation and the practical demands of your daily life. Unlike general clinics that may only focus on muscle strength, our specialized training allows us to integrate pelvic recovery directly into your most essential activities—from school and play to work and exercise. This unique approach ensures that your progress isn't just measured in the clinic, but in your ability to return to the activities you love with total confidence.

Holistic

We know that pelvic health doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Our occupational therapy training, combined with a certification in trauma-informed pelvic health, allows us to look at the "whole person" through a lens of safety and nervous system regulation. We don’t just treat the pelvic floor; we evaluate how stress, sensory factors, and lifestyle habits impact your symptoms. By prioritizing a compassionate, trauma-sensitive environment, we ensure your recovery is not only comprehensive but also respects your body’s unique history and boundaries.
